It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the Government of India, the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, the Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare or NIC. Who we are: about PM Kisan Status IN
PM Kisan Status IN is an independent information site for farmers and families who search for PM-KISAN status, installment dates and e-KYC. We write for people who mostly use a phone and who search in English letters, in Hinglish or in Hindi. Most of our pages are in simple Hindi. We keep the portal’s English button names, such as Know Your Status, so that what you read here matches what you see on the portal. This page is in English, with a short Hindi summary at the top.
Why this site exists
PM-KISAN, the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme, is a scheme of the Government of India for farmer families. Its portal has many pages, and the names of pages change. In the copy of the portal that we took on 29 October 2026, the status page is called Know Your Status. Older videos and blogs may still use the older name, Beneficiary Status, and describe a page that no longer opens. News reports have also warned about fake messages and fake app files.
So we built this site for three reasons:
- To explain the portal in plain words, step by step.
- To say clearly what is confirmed, what is only announced, and what we could not check.
- To send every reader back to pmkisan.gov.in for the real action.
What we do
- We explain how to check your status on the portal.
- We explain installment dates as the portal or PIB announces them. If a date is announced but the payment is not confirmed, we say so.
- We explain the three e-KYC options: OTP, biometric at a CSC or State Seva Kendra, and face authentication in the app.
- We point to the help routes that exist: Helpdesk - Query Form, Search your Point of Contact, CPGRAMS and the Kisan eMitra chatbot.
- We warn about look-alike sites, fake app files and scam messages.
- We show the date each page was last checked, and the sources we used.
What we do not do
- We do not take applications, register farmers or run e-KYC.
- We do not look up anybody’s PM-KISAN record, change a record or see a payment.
- We have no user accounts, no forms that send data to us, no comments, no registration, no payments and no app.
- We never ask for your Aadhaar number, OTP, bank detail, registration number or password. If anyone asks for these in our name, do not reply. Please tell us through the Contact Us page.
- We do not use the national emblem, the flag or any logo of the government.
- We do not promise that anyone will receive a payment or a benefit.

How our pages are made
Each page is written from named sources. A reviewer then checks it against those sources before it is published. Every page shows a last-checked date. The full rules are on the Editorial Policy page. We write the facts in our own words. The portal’s copyright policy asks for permission, by email, before its material is reproduced, and asks that the source be shown. We therefore paraphrase and name the source in the sentence.
Sources we use
- The portal, pmkisan.gov.in, including its Farmers Corner, Contact Us and Helpdesk pages.
- The scheme’s Operational Guidelines and its FAQ.
- The note on the modes and process of e-KYC.
- Press releases and documents of the Press Information Bureau (PIB).
News reports are labelled as reports. Competitor websites are never used as sources. Our own advice is marked as advice, so that you can tell a rule from our opinion.
When the site started
The first pages of this site were written on 29 October 2026, from a copy of the portal taken on that date. The site is still in preparation. We make no claim about visitors, awards, team size or any history before that date.
How the site is paid for
At present no ads are shown on this site. Google AdSense may be added later, if it is approved. If ads are switched on, they will not decide what we write. We will update the Privacy Policy and the Cookie Policy before that happens.
