This is not a government website. PM Kisan Status IN is an independent information site. We are not PM-KISAN and we are not the portal. We never ask for your Aadhaar number, OTP, bank details or registration number.
The short answer
The real portal of the scheme is at the address pmkisan.gov.in. The real mobile app is called PMKISAN GoI, and its publisher on Google Play is National Informatics Centre. Check anything else that uses the PM Kisan name before you trust it. Our link to the portal is pmkisan.gov.in. It opens in a new window.
The official PM Kisan links and the real app
The table lists the official PM Kisan links and names that we know of, taken from the portal and from our check on 29 October 2026.
| What | Name or address | Note |
|---|---|---|
| The portal | pmkisan.gov.in | The scheme’s own portal. Type it yourself into your browser |
| The mobile app | PMKISAN GoI on Google Play | The publisher is National Informatics Centre. The package name is com.nic.project.pmkisan |
| Press releases | PIB | The government’s Press Information Bureau publishes them |
The package name and the publisher come from a copy of the app’s Google Play page that we took for this site. We have not installed or tested the app. The portal’s home page has a tile called Download PM Kisan Mobile App, and it points to this same app. Our advice (हमारी सलाह): start from that tile or from Google Play, and check the publisher name before you install.
How to open the portal safely
- Type pmkisan.gov.in yourself into the address bar of your browser, or use our link above. It opens in a new window.
- Do not open the portal from a link in a message, an advertisement or a short link.
- Check that the address in the address bar still ends in pmkisan.gov.in after the page loads.
How to recognise a look-alike site (our advice)
These points are our advice (हमारी सलाह). They are not a government test, and they cannot prove that a site is safe.
- Check how the address ends. The part of the address before the first single slash should end in pmkisan.gov.in. Addresses such as pmkisan.com, pmkisan.in, pmkisan.org or pmkisan.net are different sites. They are not the portal.
- Look at the spelling. Look-alike names often change a letter, swap two letters or add words like status, yojana or kist.
- Check what the page asks for. If a page asks for money, or for a card number, PIN or password, before it will give you a payment, stop and check on the portal.
- Distrust urgency. A message that says your payment will stop today is a warning sign.
- Compare with the portal. If a page says something that you cannot find on pmkisan.gov.in, believe the portal.
- Test an address. Our Official PM Kisan Link Checker helps you compare an address with the real one.
Fake apps and APK files
An APK file is an app file that can be sent through WhatsApp, SMS or a website. It does not come from an app store.
- Our advice (हमारी सलाह): install the app only from Google Play, and only if the publisher is National Informatics Centre and the app is named PMKISAN GoI.
- Do not install an APK file that arrives in a message, even if a friend sends it.
According to a news report, the police of Nagaland warned people about a fake APK file made in the name of the PM Kisan Yojana. We did not find the original police statement. For more about the app, read PM Kisan App.
Scam messages and calls
A news report said that the Ministry of Agriculture advised farmers not to trust fake messages and unknown links on social media. We did not find the government original of this advice.
| Pattern | What it may look like | Our advice (हमारी सलाह) |
|---|---|---|
| A link to check status | A message says click to see your installment | Do not open it. Type pmkisan.gov.in yourself |
| An APK file | A file named after PM Kisan sent on WhatsApp or SMS | Do not install it |
| A call asking for OTP | A caller says they are an officer and need your OTP to help | End the call. Do not share your OTP |
| Pay first, receive later | You are told to send money to release your payment | Stop and check on the portal |
| A customer care number | A number in a message or video | On 29 October 2026 the portal’s Contact Us and Helpdesk pages showed no helpline number, so treat any number with care |
We do not print a phone number on this site. PM Kisan helpline number explains why and lists the routes that do exist.
The three e-KYC options
According to the e-KYC note on the portal, there are three ways to do e-KYC:
- OTP, on the portal or in the app. It needs a mobile number that is linked with your Aadhaar.
- Biometric, in person at a CSC or a State Seva Kendra.
- Face authentication, in the PM Kisan mobile app.
The note also says that a CSC may take a convenience fee. We do not repeat the amount here, so please read it in the note on the portal. Our advice (हमारी सलाह): use these routes for e-KYC, and be careful with any link, message or caller that asks for your Aadhaar number or OTP. Read PM Kisan e-KYC for the steps.
Where to type your details
Our advice (हमारी सलाह): type your registration number, Aadhaar number, OTP and bank details only on pmkisan.gov.in, or in the PMKISAN GoI app. The in-person biometric route at a CSC or State Seva Kendra is the separate case described above. You do not need to give these details to this site, to an agent’s website, or to a person who messages you. We never ask for them.
If you already shared details or paid
- Stop. Do not share another OTP and do not send more money.
- Tell your bank at once if you shared bank details or an OTP.
- Think about telling the local police.
- For a PM-KISAN matter, use the Helpdesk - Query Form on the portal or CPGRAMS. PM Kisan complaint explains how.
How to report a fake site, app or message
Write to [email protected] with the address, the app name or the text of the message, after removing your own numbers. We check what we can and add a warning if it helps readers. We cannot take down a site. A PM-KISAN matter can also go through the Helpdesk - Query Form or CPGRAMS.
Our own promises
- We never ask for your Aadhaar number, OTP, bank detail, registration number or password.
- The only outside address on this site is the portal, pmkisan.gov.in.
- We use no national emblem, flag or logo of the government. Our Disclaimer says who we are and who we are not.
