This is not a government website. PM Kisan Status IN is an independent information site. These rules describe how we work. They are our own rules, not the rules of the scheme. The real portal is pmkisan.gov.in. That link opens in a new window.
What this policy covers
This policy covers every page of PM Kisan Status IN. Our site was first written on 29 October 2026, from a copy of the portal taken on that date. Pages about status, installments and e-KYC matter most, because a mistake there can cost a reader time or money.
Where our facts come from
We use only these sources for facts:
| Source | What we use it for |
|---|---|
| The portal, pmkisan.gov.in | Page names, button names, forms, notices and lists as they appeared on the copy we took |
| The scheme’s Operational Guidelines | Rules of the scheme, such as periods, roles and conditions |
| The scheme’s FAQ | Answers to common questions about eligibility and procedure |
| The e-KYC note | The modes and process of e-KYC |
| PIB releases | Announcements, dates, places, numbers and statements by the government |
We do not use memory, rumour, social media posts or videos as a source of facts. News reports are not a source of facts for us either. If a point rests only on a news report, we write it as a report and say that we did not find the government original. Competitor sites are never sources. If a fact is not in one of the sources above, we do not write it.
Every fact is attributed
We say where a fact comes from, inside the sentence. For example, According to the portal, According to PIB, or According to the Operational Guidelines. A reader can then see whose statement it is.
When sources disagree
Sources sometimes conflict. The portal may show one thing and an older PIB release another. In that case we show both statements, each with its source and its date. We do not choose one silently. If we have a view on which is more likely to be current, we label it as our estimate (हमारा अनुमान).
The labels we use
| Label | What it means |
|---|---|
| According to the portal, PIB, the guidelines, the FAQ or the e-KYC note | A fact from that source |
| According to a report | Something that rests only on a news report or a post. We say that we did not find the government original |
| Our advice (हमारी सलाह) | Our own suggestion, for example to type your OTP nowhere except the portal. It is not a rule of the scheme |
| Our estimate (हमारा अनुमान) | Our own guess from the sources. It is not confirmed |
| Meaning in our words | Our plain explanation of a portal label, where the portal does not define it |
What we did not test
We have not typed any real number into the portal. So we do not describe what the portal shows after a real lookup, and we do not quote the words it uses for each payment stage. We describe the pages, forms and notices as they appeared on the copy we took, and we say when we did not run a step. Where it matters, a page says that we did not check with a real number.
Dated pages and updates
Some pages depend on an event, such as an installment. We call these dated pages. We write an installment as released only when PIB or the portal confirms the release. An announced date is shown as announced. When PIB or the portal confirms an event, we update the dated pages and record the change on Corrections and Updates.
A page shows a last-checked date. A new date means that we read the sources again. It does not always mean that the words changed.
Money, promises and independence
We do not take payment from anyone to write, change or rank a page, and we do not charge readers. We make no promise that a reader will receive a payment, an approval or any result. Ads are off at present. If ads are switched on later, advertisers will have no say in what we write. See the Privacy Policy and the Cookie Policy.
Safety on every page
We never ask for your Aadhaar number, OTP, bank detail, registration number or password. We tell readers to type such details only on pmkisan.gov.in. We do not use the national emblem, the flag or any logo of the government.
Language and pictures
Most pages are in simple Hindi, and we keep the portal’s English names for buttons and pages. The trust pages are in English with a short Hindi summary at the top. Our pictures are our own infographics. We show an image of a portal screen only after getting the permission that the portal’s Copyright Policy asks for, and we show the source.
Because of the portal’s copyright policy, we paraphrase and do not copy sentences from government documents. We quote only short exact labels and messages from the portal, so that you can find them on the screen.
Drafting tools and review
We may use software tools, including AI-based writing tools, to help draft or check text. Whatever the tool, a person reads each page against the sources before it is published, and the same rules apply to all text. The roles are explained on Authors and Reviewers.
Corrections
If you find a mistake, please tell us at [email protected]. We check it against the source, fix it and note the change with its date. Corrections and Updates explains how.
What this policy does not cover
This policy covers our pages only, not the portal, PIB, a CSC or any other site. For the limits of what we promise, read the Disclaimer and the Terms of Service.
